Reflexology in Pregnancy #01

Reflexology treatments in Pregnancy can help with general relaxation, or to alleviate discomfort which may arise, such as swelling, insomnia or heartburn. From week 38 onwards, the treatments are then geared towards helping the mother-to-be in preparing her body for the birth of her baby and it is extremely beneficial to make time for yourself at this stage. Call TODAY to book a treatment and discover how wonderfully relaxing reflexology can be!

As Reflexology can encourage the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance, it can also be beneficial for clients with hormonal imbalances or fertility issues.

However, it is true to say that Reflexology is not just for relaxation and the alleviation of stress - it is also a powerful tool for the relief of pain and the correction of imbalances of all kinds in the body.

At the Relaxology Therapy Rooms, I take the holistic approach of looking at the person as a whole and not just as a series of symptoms to be managed. Having a treatment provides you with 'me-time' to unwind, relax and recharge your batteries.

Here is a basic explanation of Reflexology, and what to expect during a treatment. It is an ancient therapy, based on the principle that there are reflex areas on the hands and feet which correspond to all of the organs, glands and parts of the body.

This treatment is done with the Client lying in a reclining chair, so that you can immediately begin to relax. By applying gentle pressure to these reflex areas with the thumbs and fingers, The treatment induces a wonderful feeling of wellbeing and harmony, and Clients often report that they sleep very well afterwards. A great cure for insomnia!

A treatment usually lasts for an hour, enabling you to feel deeply relaxed and refreshed at the same time. A course of treatments may be recommended, depending on your body's particular needs.
